CHAPTER 3 PRINCIPLES OF ADSORPTION

Adsorption onto activated carbon has found increasing application in the treatment of waste-waters, as well as for the recovery of gold from cyanide leached pulps or clarified liquors. The reactor configurations used are commonly called carbon-in-pulp (CIP), carbon-in-column (CIC) and carbon-in-leach (CIl).
